i went to my local walmart today and most of the can goods and frozen foods were sold out.
i did a web search from where i buy ammo from, lucky gunner, sg ammo, buds and others.
bulk ammo is sold out just over night.

This implies that JW should (are made to) feel obligated to visit meetings during normal times...

What about the JW in Russia and other areas where JW are banned or bullied? Will JW who take sensible precautions and worship Jehovah from home, without going to illegal meetings or joining in illegal preaching activities, be seen as unfaithful?

So.....in The Netherlands, where the government is criticized for not being as strict when fighting corona as other EU countries, preaching and meetings have been completely shut down.
Yet in Italy, where the whole country is on total lockdown and people can't leave their own village without proper forms, JW continue to hold FS meetings, and go house-to-house?

today all jw's in holland are informed that all meetings, the preaching work and the circuits are halted / closed because of sars-covid-19 / "corona".
first till march, 30 and then maybe longer.. the first time that the jw work in holland completely stopped.
the memorial will be held only for jw's.
They are very reluctant to cancel the Memorial, obviously

The Bible doesn't say spectators must watch the anointed pass the bread every year.
There was no provision in the Pascha meal for people not to join in the meal. Egyptians were not invited into the homes of the Jews to watch them eat. No, not even the Egyptians that later joined the Jews on their exodus (according to the myth).
So 99.99% of JW should have no issue staying at home and do some personal Thanksgiving.
Of course, the GB now all this, they just don't want JW to realize it too.

Haha. Chinese JW don't really preach like we know anyway. JW preaching is a clandestine operation over there. So they don't do carts or house to house. They simply try to befriend colleagues, neighbours etc and after they trust each other enough they may introduce some 'you want a good family life too' nonsense.
Writing letters would be a great way for need greeters to be arrested and deported for engaging in illegal activities.
i was watching a program prompted by the covid-19 scare about youngsters in kindergarten and first grade being taught how to properly wash their hands to get rid of germs.
they were told that twenty seconds was needed, and that to time it they should sing the "happy birthday" song twice.. well i guess we all know that jw's will never be able to sing that song, so i guess they will have to teach their kids how to "take a stand for da troof" and tell their teachers they cannot was their hands anymore.. just think of all the 'periences they can cook up about caleb got the corona-virus and was oh so sick, but he took a stand against one of those pagan celebration inspired songs, and his teacher and several classmates all asked for watchtowers and studies.

Printing an empty DPA in an emergency doesn't make any sense, because that seems to be a little too late...
So does this mean all DPA that the publishers handed over to their elders were uploaded to JWorg?
Shepherd the Flock chap 11 doesn't mention this specifically.

You are aware that this case was actually inititated by Darkspilver when he contacted EFF and challenged the subpoena
First Watchtower filed a formal request at a District Court for the DMCA subpoena. That looks like initiating legal action to me.
And it wasn't just a takedown order as would be most common. It was a subpoena to get Darkspilver's identity in order to be able to sue him. Of course he's gonna defend himself...

Imagine the fine witness that would be given if a JW circuit assembly were to be a source of many infections. I call to mind the story of the South Korean cult that was at the source of many infections in that country.
Another related thing: in at least two occassions, preaching JW in The Netherlands have had the police called on them. People thought the JW were trying to scam them with their Corona virus stories.
There have been a few criminals who use Corona virus stories as chat tricks to scam or rob (mostly) elderly ppeople. Apparently JW today look and sound suspicious enough to be seen as scammers....
